Taking pictures is an essential part of my life. There is so much to see, nearby or just a little bit further away. It can be very big like an entire landscape or just a tiny detail like a flower, a leaf or a small part of a big buidling. Unfortunately, most of the time we just pass by and continue lost within our thoughts or our hurry. We see things without paying them any attention. My camera is my memory, it grabs moments of perfect happiness or an idea that just comes up. Then I get completely wrapped up and even forget to breathe.
I don't consider myself an artist. I am just me and do whatever comes to my mind. Nevertheless......
Like many others I walk around with my camera since my childhood. In my case, I speak about eh seventies as i was born in 1963. Mrs. Van der Pluym probably passed away many years ago, but she was the ons who tought me the basic principles of photography. During many years I walked to the office, arriving sometimes very late because the little forest on a splended morning urged my to slow down and enjoy. Two years ago I decided that creativity is more important than a stable job and a fixed salary. Since then, I made a lot of room for what I consider to be my talents: playing with words and images.
I never followed any courses, I prefer to learn by experimenting, fall down and getting up again.
